Title: How do you think about the gap between studying in an international environment (with high salary expectation after graduation) but working in the domestic market (with low or middle income for fresh graduate people)? And what we can do to narrow that gap?
To address the gap between the expectations of high salaries after studying in an international environment and the realities of the domestic job market in Vietnam, it’s essential to set realistic expectations, understand the local market, and focus on skills that are in high demand. Graduates should leverage their international networks, consider entrepreneurship, and continuously adapt by learning new skills. Furthermore, enhancing negotiation skills, engaging in policy advocacy, fostering public-private partnerships, and utilizing career services can also help bridge this gap. These efforts require collaboration among educators, policymakers, industries, and the students themselves to ensure a smoother transition for graduates entering the workforce.
